Mr Nelson Chamisa and his MDC-Alliance cannot prove to the Constitutional Court that presidential election results announced by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) were wrong as they did not make use of a provision in the Electoral Act which allows for the recounting of votes within 48 hours, the Zanu-PF legal team has said.

CRACKS have emerged in the MDC-Alliance barely three days after President-elect Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zanu-PF won in the July 30 harmonised elections, with a senior opposition party member yesterday saying roping in former president Mr Robert Mugabe at the 11th hour to bolster the opposition vote was a blunder.

ZIMBABWEANS have done well in the run up to the election, with basically zero violence and high levels of tolerance for those they disagree with, culminating in two large rallies in Harare on Saturday where many supporters must have had to pass the other rally to get to hear the candidate they supported.
