Top musicians Jah Prayzah and Suluman Chimbetu are set to meet in Mutare this weekend for the reopening of Pick n’ Save Club that has been under renovations for a couple of months.

The venue belongs to Zanu-PF Dangamvura-Chikanga MP Isau Mupfumi, who felt the joint had to go through a facelift a few months after he won the parliamentary seat to reflect a new dispensation in the history of entertainment in Mutare.

Has hosted a number of shows and all the big names in the music secotr have performed at the joint.

Names that quickly come into mind are Jah Prayzah and Chimbetu have gone to the event for separate shows while other big artistes that

have staged performances at the venue include Alick Macheso and Peter Moyo.

Many people in Mutare felt short-changed following the temporary closure of the venue and many registered their disappointment on different social media platforms.

However, Mupfumi said he was busy putting his house in order and now the venue will continue with its normal operations.

“I was putting everything in order and we have renovated the venue to suit our clients’ needs. We are now coming back and the upcoming show is our major event set for the reopening of the joint,” he said.

He said everything has been put in place and he was looking forward to a great show in Mutare.

“We have done our homework as promoters and it is now the duty of the fans to come and support their artistes,” he said.

Each time the two musicians perform at the venue they always bring thrills and entertainment.

At one point fans were turned away at Jah Prayzah

show at Pick ‘n’ Save after the organisers felt that the venue could not accommodate more fans.
