ANOTHER locally produced film is set to hit the big screen this festive season. With other films like “Tanyaradzwa” and “Lobola having” achieved considerable success, a lot is also expected from the upcoming production. The action thriller movie is called “Blood Stains” and has a feature length of approximately 90 minutes.

Director Aaron Goora said the film will be officially launched in December and talks are still underway to liaise with private companies for screening.

“Our film will be officially launched on December 16 at Dining Point Restaurant in Harare.
“Currently we are still negotiating with cinema houses like Rainbow, ZTV and Bosstv to garner maximum viewership,” he said.

He said the film has its own unique Zimbabwean style because of the picture quality and locations they were using.
They also tried to incorporate different languages to cater for various viewers.

“We tried to be different from other film makers by using quality cameras, as well as using some of the best scenic places in the country like Ochi City and Joina City.

“We were also using several languages that include Shona, English and Ndebele” Goora added.
The film is centred on a lonely man’s fight against crushing odds as he tries to make his mark in the cut-throat world of business.
“It is about several people fighting for a business tender.

“The one with the potential of winning it is trapped by his counterparts as they kill his girlfriend and place the corpse in his vehicle,” he said.

There are renowned characters in the production including the likes of football player Evans Gwekwerere and the award winning filmmaker Projeny Shumba .

Goora is also known for being a script writer of the popular television soap Studio 263 which became a household name in Zimbabwe during the last decade.
