“I want to thank our readers who managed to mobilise the clothes, blankets, shoes, soap and beans that we are handing over to victims of Tokwe-Mukosi floods today (Saturday). As Zimpapers, we are very happy to have played a key role in mobilising resources to help the flood victims here during their time of great need.

“The successful appeal for donations to help victims of floods at Tokwe-Mukosi shows the power of social media. This is clear testimony that social media are now an integral part of today’s world and we are very grateful to our readers from all the four corners of the world for donating to a worthy cause,’’ said Gore.

Mr Chamisa said the initiative to assist the flood victims showed that Zimpapers was a responsible organisation that wanted a better Zimbabwe for everyone.

“We are very grateful to Zimpapers for the donation, which we hope will go a long way in making sure that flood victims here slowly recover from the losses they incurred after their homes and property was swept away by floods at the beginning of last month.’’
The Mwenezi DA appealed for more assistance to flood victims at Chingwizi saying the families needed aid especially food and clothing for the next 12 months.
