Zimpapers has handed over a brand new KIA Picanto to Mr Duncan Chimunhu who won the Zimpapers grand prize in the Spar Hoza Summer competition. Mr Chimunhu was among 13 other people who walked away with Kia Picantos courtesy of other companies like Delta Corporation, African Distillers and Zimgold. Speaking at the handover ceremony in Harare, Star FM business development manager Mr Webster Marambanhaka, said partnering with other companies increased brand visibility and mileage.

Star FM is Zimpapers’ radio station.

“In terms of brand management, maintaining mileage as a corporate gives us mileage in terms of association and remaining active on the market,” said Mr Marambanhaka.

Mr Chimunhu said it was a blessing since he never expected to win the car.

“When I was first called and told that I won a car, I thought it was a joke until when I received my car today and I want to thank Zimpapers for this car since I never saw myself driving a car in my life,” he said.

Spar acting marketing manager Ms Karen Dhliwayo said partnering with Zimpapers was as a result of their customers preferring to read The Herald.

“Zimpapers is a key supplier in the media outlet which is enjoyed by the masses across the country,” she said.

KIA Motors Zimbabwe general manager Mr Keith Smith said it was an honour to sponsor the car as it made them gain recognition on the local market and in Africa.
