It is going to be a father and son affair tonight at the City Sports bar as veteran musician Willom Tight is set to share the stage with his uprising Afro-jazz son Gary Tight.
The two will also share the stage with other jazz musicians including Leo Chinyere and Black Purity, Too Open Band, Ben Chidewe and David Hondoyedzomba.

Both Willom and Gary promised a night full of action at the event dubbed “The Summer Jazz Festival”. They urged people to come in their numbers to witness the two sharing the stage.

“We are promising nothing but the best tonight. To me, my son is a super young and talented guy. A combination of the two of us, is just one of its own.

“I have been supporting the young man since he started music and for those who have not seen him or both of us on stage, here is the chance,” said Willom.

On the other hand, Gary who has performed with his father on numerous occasions said he feels comfortable sharing stage with his dad.
“I have shared the stage with my dad at Hifa, Chimanimani Arts Festival, Fight Against Poverty Festival among others and I really enjoy working with him since he is the one who inspired me to be a musician. I have already polished my act and just expect an explosive act,” he said.

Meanwhile, show promoter Biggie Chinoperekwei said they are looking forward to a unique show.
“It is definitely going to be an exciting concert. It is very rare that you see father and son doing music together so putting them on one stage is something else. People would want to see if the father is supporting the son, or if the son is better than the father making it an exciting show,” he said.

Willom Tight, who made a huge comeback early this year when South African based producer Uhuru produced three songs for him and one of the songs “Ndewangu-Noni Yamanzi”, featuring Speedy of Bongo Muffin, has been making waves on international television channels including MTV Base, Channel O and Trace.

His son, Gary’s music has captured the hearts of mature audience and this have seen him sharing stage with some of the music gurus like Oliver Mtukudzi, Tariro neGitare and Victor Kunonga among others.
