URBAN RELOADED: Thank God the weekend is here

WHIZ KHALIFAWith Swagga T and Brie
As usual we have your back with details of what is keeping the urban teen culture abuzz. Get your fix on the latest fashion trends, music, games and everything else.

Our first stop – hair hair hair.

We are constantly on the lookout for the latest trends to try out and this is not limited to girls but the guys too have need to be trendy.

We take a break from talking about fancy weaves, Kardashian ponytails, sleek backs and other styles that are meant for treated hair.

It is time to embrace the natural kinky hair.

It is a growing trend all over the world and while we have always believed kinky hair is high maintenance it’s time to look at it from another angle.

After all, most school going teens have natural hair and have always felt left out when it came to the best hair trends.

Here are tips for working your natural hair:

Those with long but natural hair can try the fairly big Afro and look and Wiz Khalifa ishot.

It does not need to be neatly combed as the untidiness gives it a bit of funk. Use hair sprays to make the hair softer for easier management.

Tennis racket curls

It turned out the tennis racket has an equally important purpose away from the tennis court it is another great method of twisting up your hair.

We love this because you can do it yourself or with the help of your friend and get the funk within minutes.

It is mostly suitable for shorter hair and can also be removed in a flush just by combing them.

Bomb twist

Nick cannon made us fall in love with these timeless locks in the teenage movie “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”.

These are cute and also suitable for school as well if you tie them neatly.

The secret to look with your natural hair is to always keep it clean and adding accessories like hair pins, hair bands, glasses and hats.

The holiday can also be the perfect time to go wild and experiment with colours and cuts.

There was an interesting hair show about this topic in Harare and we were glad to see a number of teens in the crowd who took keen interest.

In other things we love, this week our light is shining on a fast rising youthful R‘n’B singer August Alsina.

Need a memory refresh?

The guy who features Nicky Minaj in the hot song “No Love”.

Born September 3, 1992 August caught our attention for his mellow voice and care free lyrics especially in the single “I Luv This $h” with Trinidad James.

We get a feeling he could be worthy competition for Chris Brown and Trey Songs and Jason Derulo.

After all he won two awards earlty this year; Best New Artist and the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award at the BET early this year.

Speaking of awards, we were proud to welcome our very own Zimbabwe Music Awards that took place on Wednesday.

As usual Cool Lifestyle was there and selfie-ng through the procession just to keep our social media interesting. While we love selfies, we got a shocker this week when health authorities in Russia revealed how they are a health harzard.

Selfie transmitted diseases?

Young people are being encouraged to desist from taking group selfies in the European country as they spread contagious diseases and lice!!
