Dendera musician Tryson Chimbetu who spent the better part of last year struggling in his musical career is fighting to revive his waning fortunes as he has re-engaged his key band members who had ditched him.Last year the musician opted to frequent his South Africa after he recorded monumental flops in Harare.

The worst of them was his show at the Big Apple where one fan turned up forcing him to abandon it.

Yesterday the musician said he had since re-engaged his ex-band members including lead guitarist Tongogara Munemo who is widely known as “Papa Tongo” and rhythm guitarist Albert Nonge.

“They are back and we are hopeful that this year is going to be bigger and better for me as an artiste,” he said.

The musician said he has already started working on a new album that will be released in March.

“We have started sampling some of the songs at our live shows and everything is going well because the songs have been well received,” he said.

He said some of the songs are “Isa Moto,” and “Chihera”.

Tonight the musician will be performing at The Palace — formerly Hwenje’s Village — in Glen Norah B.

He will be sharing the stage with Peter Moyo.

“We have energy for the show as we are marking the beginning of the New Year,” he said.

The “Pahotera” hitmaker said he enjos a good working relationship with fellow artistes and promoters.

“A lot has been said about my relationship with other artistes but the truth is I work with them and respect them as well and tomorrow (tonight) I am going to prove it as I will be sharing the stage with Peter,” he said.

“There are collaborations coming on my album and that will explain how I interact with several artistes and on this one I have also taken time to thank God who has stood by me since I ventured in the music industry,” he said.
