Zim Gossip modelling agency chief executive officer Mercy Mushaninga and models under her company have embarked on a charity mission of painting houses for the less privileged.
Mushaninga said she is happy to fulfill her dream of giving back to the society.

“I have started a project called ‘Models Paint for Charity’ and I am happy that it has begun well. We painted one house in Glen Norah and we will be doing more soon,” she said.

Last week Mushaninga and her team painted the house of a 64- year-old widow Anna Chimupeni who resides in Glen Norah. She is a widow staying with a number of orphans left by her children.

The project mainly targets the less privileged and is expected to reach most areas in Harare.

“This painting initiative will also benefit the underprivileged like orphanages and hospitals although our main target is to assist poor old people living with orphans who are often neglected.”

Zim Gossip modeling agency was recently appointed the ambassador of Global Paints for Charity, which is based in the United States.

“I am really excited because my agency was recently appointed ambassador of GPC in Zimbabwe. The organisation organisation also paints for charity.

“They learnt about our mission on our Facebook page and appointed Zim Gossip Model as the country’s ambassador and they will be donating paint to us so that we continue with our mission,” she said.

Mushaninga also said she wants the society to know that models have passion to assist the needy.

“We are trying to conscientise the society that beauty comes with brains. We believe that true beauty comes from the heart.

Mushaninga hogged the limelight by producing some of the best models to grace the local pageantry scene.

She is also the brains behind the Miss Curvy Zimbabwe and Valentine Diamond pageants.
