United Kingdom-based Zimbabwean songstress Letwin “La Diva” Berebende is arriving in the country this afternoon ahead of her birthday bash at The House of Sphinx, Cresta Oasis Hotel tomorrow.

The bash, which is running under the theme “White and Gold Affair”, is being hosted by socialite Spencer Madziya aka Boss Spencer and Platinum Entertainment.

The party will see top local models, fashionistas, designers and musicians attending although it is strictly by invite.

In an interview, Madziya said all was in place for the big day.

“We have been planning for the day for the past few weeks and I am happy that the invites have already been sent out. It is a white and gold affair and guests should be seated by 6.30pm ahead of the birthday girl and her entourage,” he said.

He said the bash has two VIP sections which will be coded by colour theme.

“Our guest will be treated to a photo-session with the musician before receiving the platinum disc of La Diva. The VIP areas have been bar-coded with the first section being where she will be seated by her close friends and family while the other will have invited guests,” he said.

Madziya said there is lot entertainment lined up.

The birthday girl will also perform on stage some of her songs and renditions from other artists.

The singer was in the country last December when she launched her fifth studio album entitled “Desire”.

She is also expected to visit children’s homes and tour some parts of Zimbabwe in a bid to get information about various areas that she needs for a funding programme that she is starting in UK.

La Diva said she was passionate about reaching to lost souls through music.

“Music is my life and we will use it to change the lifestyle of people. I love Zimbabwe and will continue doing projects that empower the people especially the girl child. I am touched by stories that we hear about the abuse of the girl child. My songs are centred on social settings. We are not here to entertain only, but to develop the world to be a better place,” she said.
