Listed diversified media group, Zimpapers 1980 Limited has unveiled a $10 000 package for a month-long comprehensive public campaign profiling the work of St Giles Medical Rehabilitation Centre on all its platforms.

St Giles Medical Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1964 to rehabilitate both adults and children with all types of physical disability. Public relations head Beatrice Tonhodzayi speaking on behalf of Zimpapers chief executive Mr Pikirayi Deketeke at St Giles fundraising dinner at a city hotel, said yesterday that the campaign sought to inform the wider public of the work of the centre in the rehabilitation of the injured and returning them to society at the highest physical and functional level.

“It also seeks to highlight its role as a competent body that provides specialist assessment, therapy and management of children with physical, sensory and learning difficulties. The campaign, will further seek to emphasise the centre’s role in giving support, guidance and counselling to adults and children living with all types of disability,” said Ms Tonhodzayi.

Ms Tonhodzayi said the campaign by Zimpapers, which has the largest footprint than any media house in the country, is aimed at various audiences, including adults and children with all types of disability, injured clients, employers, care givers and the broader public.

“The campaign will focus on the work of the rehabilitation centre and each message will be tailored to the medium used,” she said.

Ms Tonhodzayi said while the centre would guide the direction of the campaign and content, Zimpapers would oversee the design, look and feel of all material to maintain brand consistency.

“The message will emphasise the importance of the wide range of services provided by St Giles,” she said.

Ms Tonhodzayi said all Zimpapers publications will run news articles on the centre’s mandate.

The newspapers will also run news articles on testimonials from individuals and organisations that have been assisted by St Giles, as well as flight display adverts.

On the radio side, Ms Tonhodzayi said, programmes on the rehabilitation of adults and children with disability, including phone-in programmes would be aired.

“Studio debates with St Giles, disability officials and other partner organisations, infomercials, and spot adverts will also be a major highlight,” she said.

Zimpapers, she said has a strong presence online and on social media, while its websites attract over three million active users monthly that it will use to run the adverts. The promotion will run concurrently with the print and radio campaign.
