A 45-year-old Mt Darwin woman is appealing for financial assistance to enable her fly to Italy for medical attention for a heart condition.
Mrs Modester Chirara was diagnosed with a heart problem nine years ago and has been getting treatment at Parirenyatwa Hospital, All Souls Mission and Karanda Mission to no avail.
Her daughter, Chipo, yesterday said Italian doctors visiting All Souls Mission had referred her to Italy for treatment.
“The doctors said she could be treated free of charge in Italy but said we should raise the air fair to travel to their country on our own. My mother does not have a passport and would need assistance to get one,” she said.

She said they were unable to raise the required funds and were appealing to well-wishers for assistance as her father was unemployed.
