It’s another weekend and already some of the local artistes are in the party mood, as they have lined up various shows.

Revellers are spoilt for choice, especially music lovers, as music concerts are dominating the weekend entertainment menu.

Below is a weekend guide for some of the events taking places across the country:

Mookomba dates Masa Caroleen at Reps Theatre

Popular and much-travelled band, Mookomba is set to ignite Reps Theatre tonight as the group performs live alongside Caroleen Nqobile Masawi, popularly known as Masa Caroleen, a multi gifted guitarist, songwriter and singer. 

Musa is also famed for her story of never-ending love in the song “Paye”, which featured Mwenje Mathole.

Bob Nyabinde Memorial

All roads lead to Kwekwe tomorrow for the late musician, ‘The Headmaster’— Bob Nyabinde Memorial to be held at Gulez Gardens. 

The event, themed the ‘Bob Nyabinde Kwekwe Jazz Festival’ coincides with his biography launch at the same venue.

For the jazz lovers, it is going to be an epic show as some of the local jazz singers are set to share the stage celebrating the late icon.

The line-up includes Bob’s son and mentee, Agga, Sam Mataure, Steve Makoni, Victor Kunonga, Treva the One, Kireni Zulu, Albert Nyabinde, Mono Mukundu, Terry Bliss and Bantuman.

T Flex album launch in Chitungwiza

RealNass productions will be in Chitungwiza as they treat Zimdancehall bonafide fanatics to ‘T Flex’ Mukanya Zama’s album launch on tonight at St Mary’s Hall in Huruyadzo. 

The event will run from 8pm till late.

The production company, which opened doors to the public on Tuesday,  will headline upcoming dancehall artistes. 

Performances of the evening will be by Zim Pogba, Mad Signal and Vamurisa, among others. 

On the decks will be DJ Bhunu, Smartex and many others. This is a Saturday not to miss for reggae dancehall lovers.

Manicaland in treat with comedy

Comedian Nigel Maritinyu, affectionately known as ‘The Slick Pastor’, is set to host, “The All In One Stand Up Comedy” show which is part of his tour in Mutare tomorrow at Courtauld Theatre.

The show will start at 6:30pm and fans should expected endless laughter.

The Slick Pastor will be joined by Tinaye and Tinashe This Is It. 

Andy Muridzo at Steak House 

in Waterfalls

Musician Andy Muridzo is hosting the “Sushi Concert” at Steak House in Waterfalls, Harare.

“Baba Keketso” as he is fondly known by his legion of fans will sample his music to food lovers, where Mbeu and the Mhodzi Tribe will also be performing.

Mash’Up at Mashwede North

It seems the Mashwede brand s continuing to grow in the showbiz sector.

Apart from the famous Mashwede joint in Glen View, there is also Mashwede North dubbed Mash’Up at Pendennis Shopping Centre in Mt Pleasant Harare.

Hosted by Camilla, tonight’s event will see revellers being entertained by DJs such as JDub, Ellaboi, Spencer and Mc Baluti.
