Renowned producer Munyaradzi Viya of Vialy Studios has expanded his territory by signing musicians under his stable.

The producer has crafted a contract where he will record and manage the events of the musician as well as directing the videos. Eriah Tembo son to the legend Biggie Tembo becomes the first musician, who will benefit from the initiative.

Tembo is set to launch his third album “Wandinzwa” at the City Sports Bar in the capital. Vialy said the move was a way of developing and nurturing talented musicians.

“People might have difficulties in getting money for recording and everything so we want to create a bridge for them. “I am happy that we will be working with Eriah (Tembo) on his first project,” he said.

Vialy said he has begun scouting talent in different parts of the country. Vialy is a renowned producer who has worked on various projects with a number of local and international artistes.

In 2008 he relocated to Botswana where he joined Dougie Digital Studios in Gaborone. “During that time I produced top musicians like Slizer, Franco and Charma Gal among others,” he said.

He stayed there until 2012 when he got a call from Oliver Mtukudzi. “That is when I decided to relocate to Zimbabwe and I started working with him playing the keyboard,” he added.

For him that was a golden opportunity to start his own studio in Zimbabwe ‘Viali Studios’. “After that “Tsviriyo” was my first project but it took me almost a year for people to know about me and the studio,” he said.

From there he worked with a number of upcoming musicians until Chimbetu approached him.

Born in 1987 the producer grew up in the capital where his career started.
