Soul Jah Love

Zim dancehall act Soul Musaka, more popularly known as Soul Jah Love, will tomorrow celebrate his 25th birthday with colleagues in his home ‘‘burb’’ in Highfield.

Soul Jah Love, the Conquering Family boss aka “Chibaba Chacho”, has lined up a mega gig scheduled for Takashinga featuring all the “A-listers” in Zim dancehall. This is set to be a show not to be missed.

From his camp there will Bounty Lisa, Ipah Yute and Jah Child as well as Supa Yute, who will be emceeing.

Other heavy hitters to feature at the gig include Winky D, Seh Calaz, Kinnah, Killer T, Ricky Fire, The Fire President, Freeman, Dadza D and Shinsoman.

Soul Jah Love and Seh Calaz are showing the fans that there is no such thing as bad blood in business. The two artistes clashed at Sting 2014 and have been trading accusations over the debacle that ended with fans getting injured when scuffles broke out after some misunderstandings on stage.

It is interesting to note that the female contingent is not so well represented as names like Lady Squanda, Lady B, Expatriot and Lipsy among others are conspicuous by their absence. This seems to be a trend in many dancehall shows.

Others to be expected on the night include Ras Pompy, the schoolboy chanter who has proved that age ain’t nothing but a number as he confidently takes on much older and experienced performers without missing a beat. The young man is set to go far if he continues on track.

Ras Buster, Jah Trigger, Cello Culture, G Mbare, ZimJay as well as Tanasta. Dancehall’s foremost chanter selector Etherton Beenie, DJ Fleva, Mighty Ducks, FNG and Rhythm Force will are also billed to perform.

Soul Jah Love is now based in Greendale and this will be a return to the haunts of his childhood.

Zim dancehall is mostly associated with ghetto youths.
