The songstress has been off the stage for close to four years due to work and family commitments which kept her busy.
However, Plaxedes who is fondly called “Queen of the Ballad”, has bowed to pressure from her fans to return to live performances and complied with her comeback album “Brighter Day” released by her newly formed record label — La Cede International.

She hopes that her weekend gig will serve as a                    foretaste of what fans should expect when she starts          her nationwide tour in August to promote her new album.

“I am back in music for good now. I’m happy to announce that I completed my Masters Degree in Business Administration and now I have all the time to focus on my passion, which is music,” she once said.
Already two love singles, “Huya Ndikutaridze” and “Love You Better”, are doing well on the airwaves with latter’s video being featured on Channel O.

The video, shot in South Africa, has plenty to enjoy with the diva appearing in what seems to be tropical rain forest singing her way to the sunset.
Stunning is perhaps the best word to describe the video and is she continues with that direction she could be heading for a top accolade this year.

The song is a departure from her previous recordings as it is a fusion of traditional, afro-jazz and soul                   music.
However, what has not changed on the new release is the soul and ballad type of music that’s synonymous with Plaxedes. Featured on the album are

David                    Sengwayo, vocalists Rumbidzai Sengwayo and Petronella Gobvu as well as Tino Dambaneunga among others.

Plaxedes, a former member of the famed Ruvhuvhuto Sisters together with the late Jackie Madondo and Ivy Kombo-Kasi, has four other albums to her credit.
Her debut, “Tisaparadzane”, put her in the spotlight followed by “Kamumhanzi”, “Sentiments” and “Full Circle”, which did well on the charts.
