NetOne customers expressing love in style

The prizes on the cards include top of the range Nokia handsets and airtime of various denominations.
This promotion is coupled with the already running Double Up airtime where if  a NetOne Easycall subscriber recharges their line with a US$1 or US$5 recharge card the value is doubled up.

“This means if a customer loads US$5 they get US$5 worth of free airtime. Free airtime is for NetOne to NetOne calls only and is the one that is deducted first when one calls a NetOne number from their doubled up airtime.

It is worthy of mention that free airtime is not cumulative, meaning you do not add free airtime to another free airtime, said the NetOne marketing and sales director, Mrs Memory Ndoro-Mandiya .
“The US$1 Mahala promotion which started early this year is a welcome development as we were struggling to raise money for buying US$15 Mahala airtime. At least now I get a dollar for free for NetOne calls only to call my friends,” said Kennedy Mukokeri, a NetOne subscriber, who was excited about the inclusion of the US$1 denomination onto the Mahala promotion.

Mrs Ndoro-Mandiya indicated that the promotion was further extending to US$5 denomination, “Now that our customers have spoken we are extending the doubling up of airtime value to US$5 denomination. The lifespan of the free airtime is tied to the lifespan of the recharge card itself,” she said.
NetOne started the year 2011 on a good footing having won the 2010 ICT award for Project of the Year Public Sector for the solar-powered base stations project.

NetOne also introduced OneWallet mobile banking services, where one is now able to send and receive cash on the mobile phone, top up own airtime and another person’s airtime. This innovative product is a pioneering mobile banking product which NetOne introduced with banking partner FBC Bank Limited.

Mrs Ndoro-Mandiya added: “Our customers are currently swapping their SIM cards for a 128 kilobyte SIM card which has higher security features than on the current 32k ones that people have. This is to enhance the product’s convenience and security, making the transactions run more smoothly.”
