FORMER Warriors defender Elisha Muroiwa’s homecoming is likely to take a bit longer as the defender will miss Harare City’s clash against Bulawayo City because of delays in his international clearance. Muroiwa joined Harare City on his return from Tanzania where he had a short stint with Singida United.

Harare City coach Mark Harrison had hoped the defender, who watched the goalless season-opener against giants CAPS United from the sidelines, would be available today.
However, Muroiwa together with goalkeeper Ryan Harrison, are still ineligible because of the delays in securing their international transfer clearances.

“We are still waiting for Elisha’s clearance. If nothing happens he is out of this one.
“There is also Ryan and we are still to hear from SAFA.
“But I am happy most of the players are available.

“We had some guys that had knocks, but they are now training,” said Harrison.
Goalkeeper Ryan, who is the coach’s son, has vast experience having played for Swansea and a number of lower league teams in England before migrating to South Africa where he had stints with Bidvest, Chippa United and Golden Arrows.
There was good news in their camp this week following the recovery of Tendai Samanja and Malvin Gaki.

“I think we have prepared well for this game. But I’m not really putting pressure on the team. We played a friendly against Bulawayo City during the pre-season and we have got a little bit of knowledge of what to expect from them.
“I’m sure they also know something about us.

“We need to go out there and try to play our normal game, our brand of football and see if we can take three points. If we cannot get three then we should get one.
“I am happy we managed to keep a clean sheet in our first match against one of the biggest teams in the country. There was a lot of pressure and nerves, but we will take the positives from that match into the second game.

“Obviously, we have to improve,” said Harrison.
Bulawayo City opened their campaign on a high when they beat Chapungu 2-0 courtesy of Ishmael Wadi’s brace.
