Gospel musician Mathias Mhere, who made headlines with his divorce saga last week, is a strong man after all.

The musician put up a splendid performance at the just ended 21st February Movement gala that was held at the City Sports Centre of Friday.

Speaking at the sidelines of the gala, the musician said his marital issues will not affect his work.

“That has nothing to do with my work and I want to thank Zimbabweans for their support,” he said.

The musician said despite all that he went through for the past weeks, he has been preparing for his shows.

“We have a number of shows lined up here in Zimbabwe before we leave for the United States of America for another show,” he said.

He is set to travel to Dallas, Texas, at his first show of a tour that will see him spending a month in the North American country.

“The first tour in that country comes at a time when we have our fourth album and we are looking forward to it,” he said.

He said the tour will allow him to meet and mingle with fans in the US for the first time.

“For a long time they have been waiting for my visit,” he said.

Mhere said he is well prepared to represent the country and exhibit his new stuff.

“I am ready for this and I will not disappoint my fans but will deliver good acts during the shows.

“There are promoters who said they want us to launch the album in the US and we will do that in a special way.

“We are travelling for a blessed tour because we will be unveiling a fresh project,” he said.
