HIS hair has received a lot of attention ever since his first audition for The X Factor, but Luke Friend has now revealed a dramatic new look after finally ditching the dreadlocks. The 17-year-old is sporting a much shorter style after undergoing a makeover for a photo shoot with heat which was revealed yesterday.

The singer, who found himself in the sing-off on Sunday evening, told the magazine: “The shoot’s awesome — a lot different to what I’ve done before.’’

The Devon-born star, who sports a tuxedo for the shoot, said: “The only thing is, I think I need to lose a bit of weight. I’ve got a bit of a tummy. I don’t worry about it, though.’’

Luke, who covered Elton John’s “Your Song” on Saturday’s X Factor, said: “I’m one of those people that if a girl’s coming on to me I wouldn’t have a clue.

He also revealed he had a secret crush on a member of the ITV1’s production crew, saying: “I quite admire someone. They’re on the show. Not a contestant, in production.’’

The X Factor’s live results show at the weekend saw Luke go head to head with Sam Callahan to sing for survival.
Sam took on Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls while Luke performed U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”.

After being saved by the judges, Luke tweeted: “Thank you for all the amazing comments, that was so hard! But thank you all for sticking by me! Rest time for now.”

Adding: “The reaction from last night has just been amazing . . . All focused for this weekend now.” — Daily Mail.
