Lady Squanda nurtures young artistes

Self-proclaimed queen of Zimdancehall music Sandra “Lady Squanda” Gazi continues to make inroads into various aspects of the genre.
She has ventured into producing and promoting dancehall beats for upcoming youths in the industry.
Recently the sultry chanter announced the opening of her own studio in Manyame Park called Afta 8 Recordz.

“I started this studio because I want to uplift the talent I discover in most young people.

“There are talented musicians that do not have resources to record their music. I will do my best to assist them,” she said.

“I am currently working with young musician Benny Vybes from Chinhoyi and Mac Gee from Beitbridge that would assist me discover and nurture the talent.”

Lady Squanda said her studio offers subsidised rates for upcoming artistes as well as free recording time for chanters that show great potential.

The dancehall queen who recently hit the headlines when she starred in a comedy television feature called “Who is the owner”, also announced a gig which she will be hosting to promote fellow artists at Manyame Night Club in Chitungwiza on Saturday.

The show titled “Zim dancehall Mash-Up” will feature chanters Guspy Warrior, Seh Calaz, Legend Elly, Quonfuzed, Fire P, Angel P and Yung Soulja among others.

Other entertainers at the event include dancers Desert Fox, DJs Sparks, Fresh, Flips, Nutty B and Blinx among others.
