THE long wait is over as end of year exams are around the corner. The exam mood is being felt all over as most students are burying themselves in books with last-minute revisions.
As usual, we hope students are adequately prepared and these last-minute revisions are merely finishing touches.
If that is not the case then some people are in trouble. Cool Lifestyle was generously dishing out educational tips and other study material throughout the year.

We wish all those students sitting for exams all the best. In an effort to lend a helping hand to students, the Swag Centre got hold of the Zimbabwe School Examination Council exam timetable. It is important for students sitting for exams to constantly refer to it in order to avoid confusing examination dates and times.

The timetable which is handed to all students who would have successfully registered for the exams should be looked after with great care.
Do not, under any circumstances, rely entirely on exam information given by your friends or classmates. Make use of your timetable as it has all that you need. Dates, times, name of subject being written and every other information one may need.

One is required to check and recheck to make sure he or she has the correct information from the timetable. As a precautionary measure, consult the teachers to ensure one has the correct information.

Look after the timetable well and do not lose it until the examinations are over. Use it in conjunction with other Zimsec board documents that stipulates the subjects that one registered.

Highlighters can go a long way in aiding students to know exactly what to expect on an exam day. Making your own separate timetable can also be helpful with one including the relevant subjects.

This can be a noble idea as it helps to reduce clatter in one’s mind. After all, the Zimsec time- table has all the O-Level subjects.
In creating a separate timetable, one has to be cautious and include all the correct information. Any omissions or mistakes can be costly and may lead to one missing or coming late for his or her exam.

Remember to observe all the rules and regulations of the examination board as failure to do so may result in disastrous consequences.
With the help of parents and guardians, one needs to have all the stationary and equipment before the exams.

At this stage, candidates should concentrate on examinations and nothing else. One’s mind should not be diverted by games, sleep, extra curriculum activities or hanging out with friends.

In our next edition, Cool Lifestyle will compile a list of dos and don’ts during examinations. We will also include material for students doing their A-Level.

Students in all levels, in academic or tertiary institutions are advised to consider the above information even if they are not sitting for           Zimsec examinations.
