A CLASH of the choirs is slated for November 30 at the Harare International Conference Centre starting at 11am until 8pm. This is a first of its kind as the concert features some of the top Pentecostal praise choirs that have been making waves this year on one stage.“The event is meant to showcase how Pentecostal churches worship through song and dance. There are several choirs from different denominations and each choir is unique in their own way. It is a family concert and we urge families to come and worship with us.

There is so much talent in churches and this is the right platform to showcase that talent,” Benjamin Rupapa, the event co-ordinator said.
He, however, urged sponsors who want to support the event to come forward and be part of the mega initiative.

Dubbed “High Energy Gospel Concert” topping the bill is The Celebration Choir, ZimPraise, UFIC, New Life Covenant Praise, Zaoga Harvest Song, AFM Shiloh Praise Choir, Call To Worship, Spirit Praise, Ultimate Worship Choir, Zaoga Braeside and Harare Funky Gospel Choir.

All the choirs will be given equal time to perform on stage since it is hoped that the concert would start on time.
The ZimPraise Choir are still basking in the glory of their “Sungano/Covenant” international tour that took them to the United Kingdom and Dubai.

The choir’s held sold-out concerts in the UK as well as Dubai concert at Alnoor Training Centre where they again got a warm reception.
ZimPraise chief executive Joseph Madziyire was elated that their maiden international tour of the UK was well received by their fans.

ZimPraise staged two successful shows in Birmingham and another at the Dunstable Conference Centre in Luton where the choir left the audience begging for more.

ZimPraise has been in existence for the past decade under the watchful eye of the award- winning producer McDonald “McDee” Chidavaenzi and Madziyire.

Their first project featured a number of now well-known gospel musicians including Pastor G, Gordon Taurai Nzira, Bethen Pasinawako and many others.

Call To Worship has been organising inter-denominational shows this year and the choir is made of up of talented vocalists and performers. The choir commands a huge following whenever it stages concerts.

The Celebration Choir is another force in praise and worship. Led by Pastor Bonnie Deuschle, the choir has released a number of chart-topping albums to date. Other choirs that are holding their own include Zaoga Braeside, UFIC and the youthful Harare Funky Gospel Choir.
