Bindura-bred musician Freeman (real name Emegy Sylvester Chizanga) claims there are people in the dancehall industry plotting his downfall. At recent shows he had at Harare Gardens and Gwanzura Stadium, the crowd threw objects on stage when he was performing.
On his new track titled “Tiriku Defender Title” Freeman says people that are plotting his downfall would not succeed because of his determination.

This track is dedicated to the chanter’s rivals and he said he will be sending the message that he will continue to work hard to stay on top of the charts.

He said it is no secret that since 2010 he has been dominating the music scene in Zimbabwe.

“Tiriku Defender Title” was produced by renowned local producer Nhubu Digital.

“People have been so good from the start up to now, I am one of the musicians that are popular in Zimdancehall. Dangerzone fans have love for me. There are people who are trying to pull me down but I shall not fall. That is the message I am sending on the track. I believe in God and I do not fear anyone, this is why I am touring Australia this April and I am also in talks with some guys who want me to do a show in New Zealand,” Freeman said.

Last year, he launched his latest album, “Last Man Standing”, with plug tracks such as “Kuramba Ndaramba”, which features Cally C .

Freeman has been on the music scene since 2010, but he only came into the limelight in 2012 following the release of his hit song “Joina City”, which topped the charts for more than three weeks.

He is the co-founder of “Danger zone side” recording label that is doing well in the dancehall scene.

He is a mentor to quite a number of artistes and roping them under his belt in most of his local shows.

Freeman said he was happy with the international breakthrough he made last year when he toured the United Kingdom and South Africa.
