Daniel Craig has returned to filming for Spectre. The 47-year-old actor underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a knee injury he suffered on the set of the new James Bond movie earlier this month and he’s now said to be back on location in London already.A source told The Sun newspaper: “Daniel is made of strong stuff and wanted to return as quick as possible.

“He filmed the face shots but his double was doing all the running. Daniel will have to take it easy until his knee is strong enough for strenuous sequences.”

It was previously claimed that the hunky star had not missed any filming to have his operation as the “minor procedure” took place during a “scheduled break”.

However, it was said he would not be rejoining production until April 22 when filming moved to London’s Pinewood Studios.

Spectre – which also stars Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes and Dave Bautista – has been filmed in a number of locations including Austria, Rome and Mexico City.

The last images seen from the spy movie set saw a stunt double performing in Daniel’s place, grappling with another man in a moving helicopter.

Craig told the Jimmy Kimmel that he tries to do as much of the action stuff as possible.

“I don’t do all my stunts — I’d be lying if I said that. But I like the fact that occasionally that you’ll see on screen that it’s my face and it’s me,” he told the late night talk show host.

Daniel added: “And I think audiences hopefully appreciate that. At least, I really hope they do.”

Car lover Craig also talked about the thrill of getting to drive the iconic Aston Martin DB5 but admitted he prefers to be driven by the professional on-set stunt drivers than handle the automobiles himself.

“On the movie I get taught to drive by these really great drivers,” he said. “Every time we do one I drive a bit, spin it around a bit but the biggest thrill is having a really good driver take you on a course.

“I giggle like a girl the whole way around,’’ he said to much hilarity.

The Sam Mendes-directed film marks Craig’s fourth outing as Bond and is scheduled for release in November 2015. — dailymail.
