As Zimdancehall continues its dominance on the Zimbabwean music industry, several chanters unite tomorrow for Mostaff album launch at Big Apple in the capital.

Musicians that include Kinna, Judgment Yard, Guspy Warrior, Lady Squandah, Lipsy, Jah Child among others are billed to perform at the event that is likely to attract thousands of music lovers.

Kinna said he was looking forward to a great show.

“That will be a nice show and we are urging fans to come and support Zimdancehall,” he said.

Lipsy said she will be playing some of her new songs on the album launch.

Titled “Mhenyu Imhenyu” the album has 10 tracks and a bonus song that explains the fracas at the recently held Cup Clash at City Sports Centre.

Mostaff said he was optimistic that the album will turn tables in the genre that has stiff competition.

“This album reflects my thinking about various issues and I believe it will take me to another level,” he said.

He said though the CDs are already on the market they have decided to have a big launch.

“This is my first album and I hope people will just appreciate it,” he said.

Most of the songs on the album has various social messages and the musician is hopeful that it will transform the lives of many ghetto youths.

“I believe this is the time and the opportunity for me to get there. I have worked hard and the title of the album speaks it all,” he said.

Songs on the album include “Kukwira neKudzika”, “Dindingwe”, “Mumwe Wangu” and “Makomborero” among others.

On the day of the launch the musician will also unveil videos of the album.

“We are working hard to have the videos launched on that same day,” he said.

The chanter is one of the consistent artistes in the genre, popular with his unique voice and style with a number of hits under his belt such as “Mukoma” and “Tsamba” among others.
