Countdown to New Year Winky D

It’s two days before the year ends and already people are preparing for the celebrations.

From church goers, party revellers to artistes the stage has been set for shows.

Obviously many churches are hosting the Cross Over Night where it will be all night of prayer and worship.

This time around many have been wondering where to go for the countdown and fireworks displays, The Herald Arts section has conducted a survey on some of the activities taking place this weekend.

Mlalazi gives fans New Year present

Bulawayo Arts Awards 2022, Outstanding Gospel Artist, Everton Mlalazi has announced that the much awaited song “Nomakunje” featuring Grammy award outfit Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be out on New Year.

Mlalazi who recently basked in glory after staging a show in Nigeria where he was a guest at the Sinach and Friends Christmas Concert said all is set for the launch which is part of the New Year’s gift to his fans.

Seh Calaz to fill up City Sports Centre

Despite having two big album launch tomorrow with some fans going for Winky D, another outspoken Zimdancehall chanter Seh Calaz (real name Tawanda Mumanyi) said is not stopping as he is also releasing his forthcoming studio album titled Reggae Dzinorira same day.

The Reggae album which some have said is influenced by the socio-economic situation will see Seh Calaz sampling the new songs.

 Winky D unleashes new 

album tomorrow

The hype has been done for the much anticipated album by Zimdancehall sensation Winky D, tomorrow at the Harare International Conference Centre and many are looking forward to the album.

Judging by the marketing on social media, it seems that this is the biggest event in the album launch of 2023.

The album entitled Eureka Eureka talks about intolerance and advocates for unity and togetherness is expected to usher fans into 2023.

The Eureka Eureka launch is in partnership with Gateway Stream, a music section of the Rainbow Tourism Group.

The album launch will also see some of the local acts such as Killer T, Enzo Ishall, Nuty O, Tocky Vibes, Holy Ten and Saint Floew sharing the stage with Winky D.

On the turntables the list includes DJs Flevah, Judgment Yard and Fitzroy.
