Popular songstress Cindy Munyavi has joined the list of few local artistes that complement their showbiz careers with business.
Cindy, as she is affectionately known by her fans, opened a fashion boutique yesterday in the capital.
Called Cindy’s Fashion Corner, the boutique sells female outfits ranging from casual to corperate wear as well as a range of cosmetics.
Speaking to The Herald Entertainment, the “Ndidzorere Moyo Wangu” hitmaker expressed joy over the shop saying would go a long way in promoting her music and fashion.

“I had a burning passion for fashion and music since I was young. I can say it was my childhood dream and I am just over the moon that I have finally managed to open my boutique. My dream of combining fashion and music has come true,” she said.

Asked how she will balance music and business she said: “Having a boutique is not going to stop me or hinder my progress when it comes to music. I’m into music full time and my fans must expect the best from me while they see my other side, that is fashion. I have to continue keeping up appearance.”

She said women are breaking through across the world with their persuasion.
“Fashion and music are inseparable. It is just like food. To enjoy it you need to prepare it well for yourself and others.

“I hope that my shop will be the talk of the town especially with up-market ladies because of the trendy stuff available. I am a young woman and I know what is trendy.”

She said her products are from Dubai, China, UK and US among other countries. Cindy is planning to work on local range so as to boost Zimbabwe fashion sense.
Cidy joins the list of female musicians like Shuvai Wutawunashe, Fungisayi Zvakavapano-Mashavave, Joyce Simeti, Plaxedes Wenyika and Sandra Ndebele who have interests in the fashion business.
