China stands ready to assist Zimbabwe to prosper and achieve Vision 2030, the Communist Party of China has said.

In a solidarity message read by Chinese deputy ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Zhao Baogang at the Zanu-PF 18th Annual People’s Conference in Goromonzi on Friday, the Communist Party of China said Beijing’s support for Zimbabwe was solid.

He said Zanu-PF was a party here to stay.

“It is my great honour to lead the delegation from the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese Embassy to come here and participate at this Annual National People’s Conference; to show our solidarity to the Zanu-PF party,” said Mr Zhao.

“We believe you are not only the party of today, but you are also a party of the future. We came here to show our solidarity and support for the people of Zimbabwe. To support your efforts in realising the Vision 2030.”

The Communist Party of China promised to continue working with President Mnangagwa’s administration.

“We want to say we always stand together with the people of Zimbabwe and the Government of Zimbabwe. We will remain united, we will prosper,”  read the Communist Party the Chinese diplomat delivered at the meeting.

Mr Zhao took the opportunity to congratulate Zanu-PF on behalf of the Communist Party on the successful hosting of the conference.

He said the party cherished the long standing friendship with Zanu-PF.

Mr Zhao added that China stood ready to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation with Zimbabwe.

In their solidarity speech, December 12 Movement leader Cde Viola Plummer said the illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe by the United States should be removed as the international community was speaking with one voice against the punitive measures.

She thanked President Mnangagwa and the people of Zimbabwe for giving a befitting burial to their former leader Cde Coltrane Chimurenga (Randolph Simms).

Cde Chimurenga died in the United States this year and was buried at Harare Provincial Heroes Acre.

“We are humbled by your invitation to share this momentous conference with you. We are here once again to propose our unity with Zanu-PF, the Government and most of all the people of Zimbabwe,” she said.

“We are here to make it crystal clear that the illegal sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe have been blocked by the people of America, the people across the world and now internationally and the sanctions should be removed.

“Today we came to pay a particular thank you to you, the party and the people of Zimbabwe for giving us a greatest honour to have one of our leaders Cde Coltrane Chimurenga buried here in Zimbabwe,” she said.

She said Zanu-PF was the party of the future.

Reprentative of the Zimbabwean Indigenous Inter Denominational Churches Reverend Andrew Wutawunashe said: “The party is an invaluable instrument of God in building the nation. We need to understand the economic hardships the country is facing. We urge our people to disregard the destructive voices which seek to de-campaign this initiative of building our economy. People should respect the leadership which has been elected by the people. The churches commended the revolutionary party Zanu-PF for turning Zimbabwe into a Christian nation.”

CZI president Mr Henry Ruzvidzo said: “Allow me to thank you for the struggle for social and economic emancipation of the people of Zimbabwe. It is this very gathering that push motions in building the economy.”
