Speaking at a joint birthday party of one of Bulawayo’s prominent businessman, Cde Benjamin Burman Chibarinya Muvuti and his elder brother, Cde Elijah Muvuti yesterday, Media, Information and Publicity Minister Webster Shamu said Zanu-PF was implementing the empowerment policy so that the people of Zimbabwe could control the commanding heights of the economy.
Cde Muvuti, is the founder and owner of Bestafoam Private Limited Company, formed in 1985 and supplying foam rubber and furniture countrywide.
He was celebrating his 73rd birthday at his house in Khumalo suburb while his brother was celebrating his 90th.
Minister Shamu called upon Zimbabweans to emulate Cde Muvuti, who he said defied all odds and worked hard and succeeded economically during the colonial era.
