Big Brother Africa presenter Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa popularly known as IK has said Zimbabwe has a lot of talent that needs exposure to be well utilised.
In an interview during the launch of MultiChoice Africa, Africa’s Biggest Content Showcase in Mauritius, IK said he knows how Zimbabwe’s film is developing.
“I have been to Zimbabwe twice and seen a lot of talents that needs to be developed through engaging each other,” he said.
The 35-year-old radio personality said actors should also use opportunities available.

“It only needs seriousness. Market yourself well through the given opportunities. I have seen some of your local production especially ‘Lobola’ from BBA ex-housemate Munya Chidzonga, which is good and the boy is making it big also,” he said.

He said he admires how Zimbabweans are skilled and well choreographed when it comes to art.
“I know of a group in Zimbabwe known as High Definition who once performed at BBA.

“They are skilful and I am always in contact with them as I have promised them that I would get contracts for them in Nigeria if possible. I love dancing.”
The Nigerian born star said was happy with how Zimbabweans have been performing on Africa’s reality show Big Brother.

“I can’t say I have a favourite house-mate amongst all contestants from Zimbabwe who have had an opportunity in the show.
“I love them all and looking forward on next season.”

Asked to hint on the season nine of BBA, the tall and lanky presenter said he has no clue whatsoever on the upcoming edition.
“I am a presenter and have been doing this for the past six years and it is always a surprise to me just like housemates. I only get to know the script late so that it would be fun for me also. It is a top secret.”

The father of two said he has never met Big Brother.
“Since the inception of the show I haven’t been introduced to Biggie and I don’t know him.

“The team now is busy planning the strategy of the next season.”
Meanwhile Nigeria’s pint-sized famous and award-winning actor Chinedu Ikedieze echoed IK’s sentiments adding that given a chance he  would like to shoot a movie in Zimbabwe.

“I have been to Zimbabwe and travelled to Bulawayo and Harare on a cultural integration program in 2008 and I can agree that the country has talent,” said Chinedu.

Chinedu was also speaking on the sidelines of the week-long Mauritius content show that is running under the theme “Only the Best”.
Journalists from countries such as South Africa, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Nigeria and Botswana among others are attending the show.

The show also saw MultiChoice Africa launching the campaign “Africa Arising” meant to inspire Africans to become involved in community based social uplifting projects.

Artistes such as Davido, Tiwa Savage, Mi Casa and Lola Rae performed at the opening night of the show.
