BUFFALOES and Yadah Stars shared the spoils in a ZIFA Eastern Region Division One League top-of-the-table clash at the weekend.

The Mutare army side are on 17 points, three clear of third-placed Yadah Stars who are on 14. FC Mutoko, who are in second place, also shared the spoils against Masvingo City at Mucheke in a 1-1 draw.

Club director Chido Mudzinganyama described the match in Masvingo as a tough encounter.

“It was tough but we got a point and we return home for our next match where you can be assured that we will do better,” said Mudzinganyama. “We have a huge support base at home, far better than what most Premier League teams are getting, and we usually don’t let our fans down.”

FC Mutoko, who changed their name from Mutoko Traders, have been a phenomenon in Division One, attracting a full house at their home matches.
