constitution-making process.
The constitution-making process has been dogged by financial constraints.
Copac co-chairperson Cde Munyaradzi Paul Mangwana said the process was back on course.
He said Copac received US$5 million from Government while donors weighed in with US$ 4 million last week. Cde Mangwana said an additional US$3 million was required to complete the programme.
“We feel that amount will go a long way in helping us complete this exercise and come up with a draft constitution.
“We hope that at least by August and latest September we would have come up with a draft constitution that will be put to a referendum for the people to vote for or against it.”
He said Copac was rounding up the data uploading that will be followed by a meeting of thematic groups.
Cde Mangwana said US$2,5 million was used to clear debts. The remainder will be used in the on-going processes.
