Zimdancehall star Tocky Vibes, who recently launched his second album titled “Kwata Zonke” is on cloud nine after a video of the song “Tushiri” off the new release made a debut at Trace Channel, DSTV.The song from the 15-track album was shot and choreographed by South African filmmaker Ngoni Nyembe.

In an interview Tocky’s manager Elvis Bokosha said they were excited by the latest developments.

“This shows that our album ‘Kwata Zonke’ is being greatly appreciated in and outside Zimbabwe.

“We are promising more videos and hope they will continue to reach the same magnitude,” he said.

The 15 songs on the album have different producers, among them Mono Mukundu, Munya Vialy, T Man, Oskid and Fantan.

Making it on Trace Channel is a plus for Tocky who is riding high.

Trace Africa will serve as the première destination for Southern African music lovers, featuring music videos of the best contemporary Southern African music hits as well as exclusive specials and documentaries.

From kwaito and house to coupé-décalé, from Afro-pop and rhumba to ndombolo, and the channel is already the leading music brand in Africa.

The new localised music channel will help promote more artistes from the biggest music hubs of Southern Africa including Zimbabwe and they will better serve the strong need of the local audiences for great local content.

Viewers can look forward to shows such as “African Hit 10”, a daily countdown of the best hits from Africa. “New”, focusing on the latest releases and freshest tunes by local talent and “Guest Star”, put the spotlight on today’s hottest Southern African stars where viewers will get to know their favourite stars on a personal level.
