Marondera comes alive when two top dancehall chanters Tocky Vibes and Kinnah perform at Legends Sports Bar tomorrow night. Jazz musician Norman Masamba will also be part of the show, according to the organisers. The dancehall show is likely to leave lasting impressions at the venue that has hosted several sungura musicians.

Promoter Daniel Masaiti said all has been set for the gig that is likely to draw large crowds.

“There was a request from our patrons to have a dancehall show at the venue. This is our first time to have such a show here,” he said.

“Dancehall is the genre of the moment. I can tell the show will be big because the response is overwhelming since Monday when people got the news about the event,” he said.

Elvis Bokosha, who manages Tocky Vibes, said he was happy to be performing at the venue for the first time.

“This is our first time to perform at the place. Tocky is one artiste that has managed to keep his fans happy and the show will be another good experience,” he said.

Bokosha said they were bringing their new album “Toti Toti” to the people of Marondera for the first time.

The album has done well on the local market with songs “Ita Undide” and “Usarara Muka” being outstanding.

Kinnah, who recently launched his album “Chakatyokera”, promised fans a well polished act.

“We promise to give them the best and we are happy that we will be sharing the stage with Tocky Vibes, one of the best dancehall artistes to emerge from this country,” said Kinnah.

He said he was happy with the response to his new album and that fans should look forward to well-polished acts.
