Pastor Charles Charamba and his wife Olivia staged a memorable show over the weekend at Pagomba Cafe in Beitbridge that saw more than 3000 gospel lovers in attendance.
Backed by The Fishers of Men, Pastor Charamba introduced their band members who include Victor Paulos, Michael Anatori, Darlington Kamuchanyu, Tendai Masimo on drums much to the delight of the fans.

The musician preached the word of God through dance and sing with songs such as “Machira chete”, “Nyika Zimbabwe”, “Komborerai Vana” being the most popular among the crowd.

Fans went wild when he announced that the new album was coming in few months.
“The album is coming in few months and I know you are waiting,” said Charamba much to the delight of the fans.
The musician could not tell the exact date of the release of his album.

Speaking at the sidelines of the show the musician said he was overwhelmed by the response he got from Beitbridge.
“This is encouraging and it shows how people are determined to worship the Lord and we are happy that we managed to give them our best,” he said.

He said they were taking their tours across the country with a number of shows lined up.
“We are going everywhere across Zimbabwe and we will be giving the word of God as it is,” he added.

Charamba said they would also perform in a number of fundraising events across the country as a way of thanking God for the talent invested in them.
“There are many ways of thanking the Lord and for us the other way of doing that is to participate in a number of fundraising programmes,” he added.

The Charambas have become known as “The First Family of Gospel Music”, and are arguably the best-selling gospel artistes to emerge from Zimbabwe.
Their music appeals to a wide audience with their sing-along tunes which are based driectly on quoted bible verses.

“People should look forward to a complete package because this will be yet another year of praising the Lord,” he said.
The couple has released popular albums like “Johanne 3:16”, “Vhuserere”, “Amen”, “Daily Bread”, “Exodus”, “Sunday Service” and “Verses and Chapters”.
They are both pastors with theological training, which enhances their understanding of the Scripture.

They have toured the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia and have shared the stage with the likes of Solly Mahlangu, Sipho Makhabane, and Ron Kenolly among other celebrated musicians.
