Finals of the third season of Star Brite talent show will be held on January 28 and 29 at Long Chen Plaza’s 1+1.
The event that is promising to be bigger and better this year has 27 contestants standing after starting the journey with about 10 000 hopefuls.

Speaking about the finals, the show’s executive producer Barney Mpariwa said they had taken their time to give a well-polished show from the preliminaries, the build up to the finals.

“The season has been long overdue for a number of reasons but the road has been extremely exciting. We chronicled all the stages of the show on national television because they were important. The show is different in many ways this year,” he said.

The preparations for the finals show that the producers took heed of the quality concerns that were raised about the show in the past.

It is worth mentioning that they strategically selected a venue that was better equipped to host a show of its high magnitude
“The decision to use the venue was because it is well equipped. It has modern lights and a state-of- the-art PA system,” he said.

He, however, said the venue would not be able to host the great numbers they were anticipating would attend the event. To curb the problem of turning revellers away, Mpariwa urged people to book tickets in advance.

“There are many different acts billed to provide entertainment during the finals. Past winners, judges and mentors are also on the line up and a very big surprise guest as well.

The show continues to grow and the 2014 season has definitely exhibited a lot of the show’s maturity and growth,” he said

The remaining 27 from seven different categories are currently making preparations to the big day.

The contestants were drawn from different parts of the country last year. They underwent intensive grooming and screening from the provincial stages to the second and third rounds.
