Auditions for a new talent search show are under way with those interested already registering for the competitions which will kick start in May. Shasha Talent Search is a brain child of organisers of Zimbabwe Greatest Talent that was launched early this year. In an interview, one of the organizers of the talent search show Moses Matanda said entries are open to artists who are talented in different ways.
“Our door is open to every artist be it musicians, dancers, poets, bands, groups, comedians, magicians and anyone who is in arts, we want to nurture talent from grass root level and that is what we currently looking for at the moment, that is the main objective of Shasha talent search, “he said.
Matanda highlighted that for the whole of April they will be scouting for raw talent then competitions will begin in May. “At the mean time we still looking for talent and the competitions are starting in May,” he said.
He highlighted that the winners, those who have extra-ordinary talent will walk away with great prizes and on season three of the show, winners will receive grants to promote their businesses and a chance to headline a show at the Zimbabwe Trade Fair.
“The top five winners are also set to get a music or dancers’ video production free of charge for two years, the top 10 will also get cash prizes and they will compose a son together,” he said.
He also highlighted that the show is in line with the economic blue print, Zim asset for it will also create employment for the unemployed youths. “This show will not only entertain people but will also create employment and endorsement of the ZIM-ASSET programme”, Matanda added.
The programme is being produced by Honde Valley TV.
