BONANG Matheba’s empire keeps growing. She can now boast a credit on a rap album. The TV and radio star features on rapper Reason’s upcoming album “Audio High Definition” scheduled to be launched on Friday in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. Yesterday she explained why her name was on the list of featured artistes for the project, but said she did not see herself getting into music full time.

“I have so much respect for artistes because it is difficult being an artiste. I will just stick to radio and TV,” Matheba said.

In the song “The Mind: #PDYCM” (acronym for please don’t you confuse me), she said she did “voice artistry”.

Reason said: “I’ve always been a big fan of Queen B. I wanted to try the concept with someone who has an open mind.”

The album features the likes of Tumi, HHP, LCNVL, Thandiswa Mazwi, Donald and Pac Div.

Matheba this week became the first local celebrity to grace the cover of Glamour South Africa. -Sowetan.
