Gospel Musician Pax Gomo has postponed the launch of his new album titled “Hwibaa” that was set for today at Brilliant Foods Restaurant following a new arrangement with venue owners. The album will be released today but the new launch date is still to be announced. Gomo said they were making new arrangements with venue owners to launch the album later.

He said it was not clear whether the album would be launched at Brilliant Foods Restaurant or a different venue.

“There were immediate changes in our plans and we agreed to postpone the launch of the album. However, we will release the album tomorrow (today) and we will tell people about the launch in the near future,” said Gomo. “It is unfortunate that we cannot announce a new date now because we are travelling to South Africa on Saturday (tomorrow) for some shows that are set to take place at different venues in Port Elizabeth.

“ The shows will run from April 2 to 5 and we cannot make any new plans before the tour.

“We will make a statement about the launch after the tour.”

Gomo said they would ensure that they launch the album before they embark on other international tours that are set for May.

They are billed to travel to Mozambique for shows in that country set for May 1 to 3 while from May 22 to 24 they would be performing in Pretoria, South Africa.

“Hwibaa” is Gomo’s fifth album following “Nyasha Dzichatisvitsa” (2003), “Pakutanga Mwari” (2004), “Ndirege Ndiende” (2006) and “Amen Topona” (2009).

The new album is a 10-track project that carries songs like “Tokuzivai”, “Hatidzoke Takadaro”, “Ndiri Dera” and “Ndawana Nysaha” that features Derick Mpofu.

Gomo is set to market the album through various local shows while he also has shows in Kenya and Tanzania in June.
