Afro Jazz musician Prince Kudakwashe Musarurwa will today launch his new video for the title track from his new album “Chiga chikuru”.

The single is from his upcoming fourth album to be released on Friday. In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Musarurwa said he was excited that he was launching the new video after having faced a number of challenges.

“I am so excited that finally I am launching my video, I had promised my fans new staff in the first quarter of this year last year and honestly it was not easy but I just want to thank God that I managed to fulfil my promise. I am optimistic that people will enjoy the video because I did the best I could,” he said.

He will be releasing the audio album on Friday.

“The song is the title track from my fifth album that I am going to release on Friday, I decided to release the video first for my fans who prefer videos, I am also working on videos of the other tracks,” he said.

Commenting on the title of the album, he said real life experiences inspired him to pen the songs. “The album was inspired by what we face as a people in our daily lives, on ‘Chiga chikuru’ I am saying people must learn to look back and see those that have helped them to become whoever they might be in life. It is important to give thanks,” he said.

Musarurwa asserted that he has not diverted from the love songs which he is popularly known for and that there are a number of love songs including one titled “I Do Love You”.

So far, he has been sampling some of the songs on the album during live performances and they have been well received.

Musarurwa hogged the limelight when he featured on his niece Pah Chihera’s hit track “Runonzi Rudo” which became an anthem having been played at almost every other party throughout the country. He has three albums to his name “Kurarama”, “Gara Muberere” and “Gogodera”.
