Zimbabwe’s flagship sungura music ace Aleck Macheso will this tomorrow invade the usually entertainment starved Chiredzi town to stage his fifth show of the year at Chitsanga Hall.
The Extra-basso and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo Band, who retuned into the county from the highly priced United Kingdom tour and performed in Chimoio, Mozambique last week to help our fellow neighbours commemorate their independence day in style, is posed to deliver a fine show spiced with some of his latest songs.

The Chiredzi gig is likely to draw a significant number of fans from district and its boundaries judging by the full house he recorded during previous Monday shows.
Organiser of the event Cloudious Dawara of Bodmac Productions said Chiredzi must brace for the top class performance from Macheso who has always turned the usually sleep town into an entertainment theater of dreams.

Dawara said the coming of the fifth visit by the King of Sungura is mainly centred on the positive turn-up which Chiredzi showcases no matter the day on which he performs.

“Chiredzi is like Macheso’s home ground, he is visit for the fifth time this year and we are very happy that he will perform on a Friday this time.
“The four previous shows were staged on Mondays but I would like to salute the Chiredzi community for supporting the man even when he performed on a Monday whilst most of them wanted to go to work the following morning,” said Dawara.
