Fireworks are expected at Borrowdale Racecourse on Wednesday when top spinners clash at Africa Day burnouts.

Top spinners like Fat Cat, Goofer and Spin Kid will lead the list of many car-stunt experts that are expected to burn tyres at the race course.

Smoke from burning rubber will engulf the venue as the spinners showcase their styles that are strictly a preserve for the daring.

The event is expected to attract motor-skill fans of various ages and gates to the event are set to open at around 10am.

It is likely to be a day of fun as the spinners take turns to burst tyres of their speeding and circling cars in a sport that has brought classic entertainment to various joints in the capital over the past years.

Also taking part at the motor show would be Team Altezza and Team Subaru that are expected to exhibit their skills.

The motor spinners will be complemented by wheel spinners on decks in the form of Legendary Sound, Judgment Yard, Deff House and BB International.

The renowned DJs will bring their outstanding selections to the event and entertain fun-lovers with various beats.

All the sound houses are known for their unique mixes that have made them the top selectors in the land.

The DJs will also select music for young dancers from Chitungwiza that specialise in ‘clarks’ and other urban styles of the dancefloor.

One of the show organisers said the event will be a mixed bag of fun.

“We will have various activities to support the burnouts. It will definitely be a memorable day as we come with another fun-filled way of celebrating Africa Day. We want the young people to come together and have fun on this special day for Africa,” he said.

“The spinners have promised an exciting day of screeching tyres, burning rubber and various unimaginable stunts. We are looking forward to an afternoon of fun that will be spiced by music and dance.”
