After a lull period for most hangouts in Harare due to what is commonly known as “January Disease”, month-end brings a glimmer of hope as some, if not most people, recover from the dreaded syndrome.

There are few pleasure spots which continue to draw numbers regardless the month and one of them is ZimCafe.

The popular bar and restaurant always has something exciting for patrons and this weekend the joint will mark the return of veteran turntablist and mix master Kimble Rogers more popularly known on radio as Double K.

The DJ who hosts the Rush on ZiFM Stereo will be making a welcome return to ZimCafe to rekindle his romance with fans.

Arguably one of the best presenters on radio, Double K is one of the few club DJs who knows how to mix records without breaking a sweat.

Like most international DJs who play their own mixes, Double K rocks the party with his mixes whether its R&B, hip-hop or soul.

He knows when to play what and he takes control of his crowd.

Isaac Neshamba, the director of ZimCafe who is known as the F&B Guru said Double K was back at the bar in time for the Valentine’s Day.

“We are excited to bring back Kimble Rogers at ZimCafe, fans love him and he will be playing every weekend. This is in preparation for the Valentine’s Day where we are going all out to ensure that patrons will have a memorable day.

“Like I always say, the original is hard to beat, this weekend we have lined up a great party with Double K. We are hoping fans will enjoy his selection of music as well as our excellent service. We are going to host special Valentine’s gigs in Harare and Victoria Falls,” he said.

The F&B Guru said there is going to be a mega party to mark the official opening of ZimCafe International in Victoria Falls on February 27. The party will feature Harare’s best club spinners Dexter Dee and Candy as well as resident DJ Dee Blaze.
