The entertainment-starved town of Beitbridge will come alive tomorrow night when South African artiste Dan Tshanda and his Dalom Squad take their act to Eland House.

Tshanda is a veteran musician who has produced a number of hits from albums that include “Peacock”, “Eye for an Eye”, “Nesindande”, “Khoma Khoma”, “Ndosala”, “Double Face”, “Crocodile” and “Ndivhuwo”.

The Dalom stable is being jointly brought into the country by Eland and Sekunjalo Promotions.

Eland Promotions spokesperson, Larry Diamond said besides Tshanda they had a mixed bag of renowned artists from his stable including Matshikos, Splash, Sydney, Dalom Kids and Montana.

“Preparations are on course and we are expecting a full house. We have covered enough ground and we are looking forward to a successful show.

“We are kick-starting summer in style in Beitbridge with a show involving our brothers and sisters from south of the Limpopo,” he said.

Diamond said there will be lots of prizes to be won by revellers on the day of the show.

He said there will be tight security and a generator on standby in case of a power blackout.

He added that they had processed all the legal documents for the artists to perform in the country.

“As Eland Promotions we are building on the success of the previous shows where we have hosted renowned artists like Alick Macheso, Sulumani Chimbetu and various Zimbabwean dancehall artists.

“The show will start at around 7pm and end on the following morning. We are calling on our usual loyal clients to attend in their numbers” he said.

Diamond added that they had lined up a series for shows at Eland House this summer.

Sekunjalo Promotions spokesperson, Dave Ncube said from Beitbridge the Dalom Squad will also perform at Hartsfield in Bulawayo before travelling for another show in Harare.

“The artists will start arriving in Zimbabwe on Thursday (today) afternoon.

“The stage is now set for the three shows. The Dalom Squad has had several shows in the country and they know how to entertain their legion of fans” said Ncube.

He said the Dalom Squad was high on demand hence the need to bring them for three shows in the country.
