Hwedza Senator Rosemary Goto has called on local communities to partner with their respective stakeholders to develop their communities instead of waiting for handouts from the Government. Speaking at the official opening of a classroom block at Mutukwana Primary School in Hwedza recently, Sen Goto said local communities should work hard to fulfil the goals of the economic blueprint, Zim-Asset.

The classroom block was built through the partnership of the Life Ministry Zimbabwe Church, local community and the Zimbabwe National Army. “Zim-Asset calls for people to be innovative to develop their communities through building and sprucing up existing buildings to spearhead development,” she said.

Hwedza constituency has 94 schools. Speaking at the same event, Life Ministry Zimbabwe Church pastor, Dr Farai Katsande said churches should work with the Government to transform lives. “Life Ministry Zimbabwe has worked with Government since 2004 and we also work closely with civil organisations, and other religious organisations,” he said.
