A CONSULTANCY firm, New Generation Initiatives Consulting will today host an interactive workshop in Harare on debt recovery and credit control issues that could affect businesses. In a statement, NGI Consulting said the workshop would discuss credit control and debt recovery issues in relation to the law. “Financial institutions, corporates and debt collection practitioners need to understand and utilise debt collection tools and the law while they also need to know the strategies and techniques that help to effectively deal with debtors,” NGI said.

The workshop will also equip participants with knowledge on how to prioritise and categorise accounts so that audits can actually been carried out in a simple but effective manner.

The organisers added that delegates will also be equipped on how an organisation should develop, implement and follow a formal process for handling all its collections and in the process will get to exchange notes.

Presenters at the workshop include Scanlen and Holderness Law firm partner, Mrs Doreen Vimbai Gapare who has particular interest in corporate and commercial law, conveyancing and criminal litigation.

Mr Absolom Muchandiona of Danziger and Partners legal practitioners will also present at the workshop and he currently leads the firm`s Harare office (debt collections department).

The organisers, NGI Consulting are a consultancy corporate organisation that offers turnaround services in diverse fields like business management, ICT, public and social policy, research, monitoring and evaluation and its clients are drawn from a wide spectrum that includes universities, public entities, NGOs, UN agencies and corporates.
