UNITED States-based golfer Ray Badenhorst is leading the Eisenhower Trophy qualifying marathon with 68 points after the three events played so far. The top amateur amassed 18 points in the Matabelelend Amateur, 25 points in Manicaland and an equal number of points in the Midlands Amateur Championships.

The Eisenhower Trophy will be played in Japan in September.
Tonderai Masunga is lying second on 64 points, with only two tournaments remaining, to determine the three-member team that will represent the country this year.

Masunga of Wingate has managed 25, 14, and 25 points so far this season in the first three events of the qualifiers.
Another United States-based top amateur Ben Follet-Smith is also back home and looking forward to the qualifiers.

He is currently lying third on 53 points.
Follet-Smith missed the last qualifiers by a whisker when Barry Painting had a good outing in the Manicaland Amateur to book his place in the prestigious event.

Thembelani Vundhla, who claimed the Midlands Amateur, is sitting on fourth place with 44 points.
The race is still on as the golfers will this week take part in the Harare Amateur Championships set for Country Club from Friday.

Another promising player Visitor Mapwanya is also a dark horse, sitting in fifth place, with 38 points.
Travis Smith is just two points behind.
Brett Krog is on 34 points and Robert Chinhoi, Justin Kerstern and Stuart Krog complete the top ten.
