The much-awaited Black Opal Face of Zimbabwe pageant takes place tomorrow evening at the Glamis Arena before an after-party headlined by Jamaica’s Romain Virgo explodes at the venue.The pageant will see 11 models taking to the ramp to contest for the $8 000 mega prize that comes with many other additional hampers.

Organisers of the pageant have decided to make it a mega event this year and a lot of other activities are lined up for the day.

The entertainment line-up will spice the night, which is likely to be memorable.

Romain Virgo jetted into the country yesterday ahead of the show. The “Soul Provider” singer will share the stage with Jah Prayzah, Soul Jah Love, Freeman, Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave and Ammara Brown.

The event is a highlight of many other events that are lined up this weekend

 

FRIDAY

Business mogul and arts promoter, Boss Spencer will be celebrating his birthday at The Volt.

The red carpet event will see performances by Stunner, Sniper Storm, Roki, Judgment Yard and Ammara Brown.

Rapper, Stunner who recently released an album will be at Karoi Hotel at a show dubbed “Summer Slam Hip-Hop Dancehall Party”

Andy Muridzo has a farewell party at Club B5 in Budiriro.

The rising musician is set to tour South Africa and he will say goodbye to his fans at the club that has become one of his regular performance venues

Suluman Chimbetu and Leonard Zhakata will sing their “Madam Boss” collaboration at Kasi Kasi Bar in Mabvuku.

The duo has staged numerous joint shows and they will be out to prove the strength of their collaboration.

 

SATURDAY

Hope Masike will be live at La Rouge with Progress Chipfumo. Hope Masike is also working on song collaboration with Dendera music star Sulumani Chimbetu which is soon going to be released.

The other part of the collaboration, Suluman will be at Jazz 24/7 where he has a show dubbed “Executive Dendera”, which will bring together dendera fans from across the city.

Female artiste, Jazz Musician Tariro ne Gitare will be live at Bar Rouge restaurant.

Freeman will be in Kwekwe where a brand new hotel, Golden Mile Hotel will be opening. Peter Moyo will also be at the grand opening.

Golden Pilsener will be taking the Afro-fusion concert to Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo where South African DJ Zinhle and Bucie will perform alongside local Winky D.

 

SUNDAY

Jah Prayzah’s fans in Marondera are in for a big treat as the contemporary jazz artist will be performing at Rudhaka Stadium, sharing the stage with Zimdancehall sensation, Freeman and Pengaudzoke, fronted by Faheem Somanje on a family fun day event.

Kites for Peace Zimbabwe will host Zimbabwe Cares at Haka Park. Annual kite-flying festival celebrating the international day of Peace will this year hosting the Zimbabwe Cares network – a collective of community-based goodwill and charity projects.
