Zimbabwean author Faith Mudiwa Chipangura has broken the orthodox boundaries and impacted the regional community with her debut publication titled “I am enough”, that was launched mid last month in Harare.

Chipangura described the book as an enlightening instrument for her, asserting that the inspiration to write the book was purely God given.

“For me the book is a journey of self-discovery to love myself without seeking outside affirmation. I am enough,” said Chipangura.

‘I am enough’ is a motivational publication which brings hope to the girl child through encouraging her to know the love of God, knowing herself wholly as well as espousing the confidence and self-esteem to succeed in life, through the realization that she is enough.

“There is a saying in our language that says ‘umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu’, meaning a person is a person person through or because of other people. You are who you are because of how you relate to others around you, therefore the objective of the book is to teach people to forgive and tolerate each other and walk in love, being guided by God,” said Chipangura.

“For me the primary target was the girl child from the ages 15 to 35 years and even older. However, it is not limited to women alone, even men can read it and learn from it,” Chipangura said.

Having written the book in 21 days, Chipangura, who is in her second year of pastoral studies with a local Bible College, attributed the message in the book to have originated from the Holy Spirit.

“For me it came as a point of instruction from God. It was a divine process of 21 days. I penned the book in 21 days, and the process was inspired by the Holy Spirit,” Chipangura asserted.

“I self-published my work so there is no one who is helping me with marketing and logistical work, but I cannot take all the glory and say I have done it by myself, it has always been God’s project,” she said.

Chipangura affirmed that she will put the necessary efforts to ensure the widest and largest distribution of her debut publication, adding that she is making efforts to have the book translated into indigenous languages.

“It has been an interesting journey. I have been enquiring from bookstores around town on how they can stock and sell my books and I will be pleased to let you know that within two weeks of launching the book, we managed to sell over 100 copies,” Chipangura said.

The book is already being sought after in the Sadc region, with selected corporates from three neighbouring countries having already proposed to become distribution partners.

“I have already been receiving calls from countries like Zambia, South Africa and Botswana with requests for copies of the book for mass distribution from foreign companies and this can only be God’s grace causing such a breakthrough,” Chipangura  added.
